As a fashion retail manager my store takings depended on window displays that enticed the buyer into the shop to purchase the latest fashions.
Shop floor presentation and co ordination of colours, fabrics & products sent out the right messages & signals.
Finally, excellent product knowledge & customer service skills were paramount to sealing the deal!
As a beauty consultant I gave skin care & make up classes to clients in their own homes allowing me to show people how to blend colours, apply make up techniques & present themselves at their personal best.
More importantly I developed how to listen to clients needs and facilitate those areas of themselves they wanted to present more effectively. As your home is an extension of yourself, I progressed to finding out what makes a home look & feel fabulous so it took me many years to train as a Feng Shui consultant.
Passionate about presentation and style
My background as a Professional Dancer, Fashion Retail Manager, Beauty Consultant, Feng Shui Consultant & now finally a Homestaging Consultant, brings a wealth of experience to my business which I am passionate about. I have style, creativity and the know how when it comes to getting your property in the spotlight! All of the experience I have had over the years in these areas cumulatively, has led me into progressing to where I am now, passing on my knowledge to help home buyers move or improve their living spaces.
As a professional dancer/actor I learnt quickly that presenting yourself effectively, paying attention to detail & focusing on your technique made for more effective results and an improved performance on the stage.
Location, flow and ambiance -
As a fully qualified Feng Shui consultant, I find that the location, the flow of a home, the furniture placement and the ambience are paramount factors of consideration, which subliminally affect our decisions when it comes to purchasing our homes. Of course we all decide within several seconds of viewing a property whether it looks, smells & feels right! Why? because we are buying into a lifestyle, & the first impressions & feelings are what sells a home.
Moving from country to country as a dancer, I would move frequently. With my husband in the Air force, obviously, a great deal of time was spent moving home. We moved from station to station, in & out of quarters or rented accommodation and also purchased several homes on the move.
Over the years “that white glove treatment” from many march out ceremonies, taught me to be meticulously disciplined about being organised, cleaning effectively and making sure my home stood out from the crowd when putting it up for sale.
